I'm taking more Spanish classes. The walk to and from school is a gauntlet of kittens and candy.
There are two kittens at my house. It is awesome to have a warm buzzing ball of fuzz on my lap again. But they want in my room and in the kitchen while I'm there and it is not allowed. Oh how they cry and I cannot help them.
And then there's the pile of tiny mewling things in the cage at the pet store on the corner.
Once I'm safely past them, I must brave the Corridor of Candy. The Day of the Dead is a week and a half away so there are 50 yards of tables full of sugar and chocolate. Sugar skulls, chocolate skulls, sugar coffins, chocolate coffins, tiny skulls, giant skulls, all made of candy, all coated in bright colored icing.
Four hours of Spanish and then I go through the whole rigamarole again, but in reverse.
