I have three (THREE) backups just in case I lose my debit card. Two other credit cards with PINs plus $500 in traveler's checks which could hold me over until other arrangments can be made.
This is a good thing, because yesterday I left my debit card in an ATM.
After making my weekly withdrawal, I went home to move the cash and card into their appropriate hiding places (my personal cash dispensing system is ridiculously elaborate), but the card was nowhere to be found.
Luckily there was no money in either my checking account or my regular savings account so nobody could withdraw nada had they stumbled upon the machine while the screen still said 'Would you like another transaction?'
